“Baroque. Belcanto. Romanticism”. Three words, and three styles represented by three artists: Dilyara Idrisova, Wassilissa Berschanskaja, Sergey Kuzmin. Young, talented, famous. In-demand in native Russia as well as abroad. 

Dilyara raised to baroque Olympus after she had sang her part in Handel’s “Hercules” staged at Bashkir’s Opera. She has become an avid interpreter of rarities of Hasse, Vivaldi, Porpora, Vinci, Pergolesi, to name a few, ever since. 

Heroines of Donizetti, Bellini, and Rossini are the perfect choice for the stunningly beautiful soprano of Wassilissa, while Sergey is surely a romantic hero: his characters are Nemorino, Lenskiy, Faust, Alfred, Werther, José… 

However, theatrical characters of our soloists are not that limited. This is why in the first part of the concert they would sing arias in aforementioned styles. The first part can even be described as three short solo concerts, or three music portraits. But droning the second part, the singers will go beyond those borders to sing duets and, to the end of the show, terzetti, trios. 

The programme of the night is sophisticated, to put it mildly. Handel, Vivaldi, Rossini, Donizetti, Mascagni, Massenet, Mozart, Bellini, Bizet, Strauss… Everything to warm the cockles of your heart!

Now let’s talk a bit about “Aritist of Radio of Russia”, and what it is. This is a special prize: 3 years long informational support of young artists. This is a kind of unique prize, and the first winner was Dilyara Idrisova (2016), the second – Sergey Kuzmin (2017), and Wassilissa Berschanskaja (2018). Now, our “flying squad” consists of eight artists, and it’s a real dream team! We’re really proud of it, and this year we decided to provide a more substantial support to our wards, and we finally came up with the natural idea: concerts!

The first concerts dubbed “Opera as an Encore” – featuring Sergey Kuzmin, Artur Kaipkulov, Vladimir Dmitruk, and Guzel Sharipova – took place on the 4th of July at the New Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre, and we are grateful to the heads and stuff of the theatre for the really great support.
“Zaryadye” hosts the second gala. There’s new conception to it. New music, and new participants. Musica Viva, famous for its sophisticated repertoire, backs our soloists on stage. Finnish Kalle Kuusava, an extremely busy and demanded as a symphonic as well as opera conductor, is on the podium. 

Pianist Konstantin Emelyanov, 16th Tchaikovsky competition laureate, is the special guest. Our diploma “Aritist of Radio of Russia” will be handed to him right on stage!
