The Venetian Suite in Blue is a work by the renowned jazz pianist and composer Mikhail Ivanov. It combins the recognizable Venetian Baroque style and jazz improvisation. Mikhail Ivanov is known to jazz lovers as a member of the Ivanov Brothers jazz duet. Under this brand, he and the double bass player Andrei Ivanov began performing back in the late 1980s, won a number of awards and prizes at international jazz competitions, and gave hundreds of concerts in Russia and abroad. The Ivanovs' creative style is called "hyperclassicism in jazz", it combines the influences of progressive jazz and rock, classical and baroque music. Performers of completely different directions participate in the programs of the Ivanov brothers. In the project "Venetian Suite in Blue", in which the Venetian Baroque style and jazz improvisations are subtly intertwined.
