Nadezhda Pavlova, soprano
Fyodor Stroganov, organ
Bach and Mozart masterpieces, as well as organ improvisations, are in the setlist.
Soprano Nadezhda Pavlova is one of the brightest stars of the new generation of Russian opera singers. Violetta role made her famous. In January 2013 Nadezhda Pavlova was invited to sing Violetta (“La Traviata”) at the Latvian National Opera, and in 2016 with a great success performed this role in Robert Wilson’s production of “La Traviata” at the Perm Opera, and the conductor was world renowned Greek-Russian Teodor Currentzis. In 2016, Pavlova became a recipient of the Moscow Music Critics Association Award for La Traviata at the Perm Opera (along with Robert Wilson and Teodor Currentzis). And next year she won prestigious The Golden Mask National Theatre Award for this role. Since 2018, she is Merited Artist of the Russian Federation.
Russian Fyodor Stroganov is organist, harpsichord player, composer, professor of Moscow Conservatory, and a member of Russia Composers Union.
“Fyodor’s playing is always intellectual”, professor Alexey Lyubimov believes. “It’s intellectual in the way he combines parts and whole, and it’s a very strict juxtaposition. But his rendition of any composer’s music is always full of emotions”.
