The State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia “Evgeny Svetlanov” is one of the oldest symphony ensembles in the country. In 2021, the Orchestra celebrates it’s 85th anniversary. The first performance of the orchestra conducted by A. Gauk and E. Kleiber, took place on October 5th, 1936 in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory.

Alexander Lazarev is one of Russia's foremost conductors. From 1987 to 1995 Lazarev was Chief Conductor and Artistic Director of the Bolshoi Theatre, the first person for over thirty years to hold both positions concurrently. His leadership marked a period of intensive activity with the Bolshoi Opera undertaking an unprecedented programme of prestigious foreign tours including Tokyo, La Scala, Milan, the Edinburgh Festival and the Metropolitan Opera in New York. From 1992 to 1995 he was Principal Guest Conductor of the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and from 1997 to 2005 Principal Conductor of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. In recent years he has worked as a regular guest with the Philharmonia Orchestra and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic. Other orchestras he has conducted include the Berlin Philharmonic, Munich Philharmonic, Bavarian Radio Symphony, Royal Concertgebouw, Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala, Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Orchestre National de France and London Philharmonic. From 2008 to 2016 he was Principal Conductor of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra and he now holds the position of Conductor Laureate. 

Alexander Ramm is one of the prominent Russian cellists. He was born in 1988 in Vladivostok. Graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatoire; сontinued his studies at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin. Ramm is a Prize-winner at the Beijing International Music Competition (Grand-Prix, 2010) and many other international competitions. Since 2012 he has been a soloist at the St Petersburg House of Music, and since 2011 he has featured in concert programmes of the Moscow State Philharmonic, including the project Stars of the 21st Century. Easter Festival. Has toured to many towns and cities in Russia and abroad.
