Great Easter Concert at Zaryadye Hall

This year, on the Easter Night Zaryadye sees a concert featuring a movie and theatre star Andrey Merzlikin, Moscow Chamber Ensemble “Solisti Moskvy”, art director Yuri Bashmet, as well as the two leading Russian choirs: Festive Male Choir of Danilov Monastery and Grand Children Choir n.a. Popov. Petr Koryagin is the author of the musical concept as well as the original score; Koryagin the composer is well known primarily for his choir, church, and orchestra scores.

Festive Male Choir of Danilov Monastery performs traditional Easter chants in the first part of the programme.

The second part features the premiere of the spiritual programme. It is based on the poem by the reverend starets Seraphim Vyritsky “Ot Men’ya Eto Bylo” (“The message is from me”, the spiritual testament). Merzlikin re-worked it for stage.
