On Saturday, October 19th, opera buffa “Worker and Kolkhoz Woman” – dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the VDNH exhibition – was premiered in the Grand Hall of “Zaryadye”.
Minster of the Government of Moscow, the Head of Cultural Department of Moscow Alexander Kibovsky visited the premiere. Before the show, he delivered a welcoming speech. “This Hall, that has all the cutting edge technologies and acoustics imaginable, that provide great possibilities for any kind of show, was made for great premieres. During its first year, world stars performed here, some of them being for the first time in Russia. The artists valued “Zaryadye”, and now it’s important for us to stage here our own premieres that promoted new Russian names”, Kibovsky noted. The Head of Cultural Department of Moscow also highlighted the work of the Hall’s team led by CEO Olga Zhukova. “Olga has been working for the Hall from the first stone laid in the foundation of it, literally. And for such a short period she managed to do the unbelievable: to create from the scratch the venue with world lever art programmes”.
