The concert marks the 90th anniversary of the outstanding Russian pianist and Moscow Conservatory professor Lev Vlasenko. Vlasenko educated the whole generation of brilliant musicians, winners and laureates of different international music competitions, as well as music professors, Russian and foreign.

This night seven pianists that could be described asl “grand disciples” – musical grand children – of Lev Vlasenko will play.

All of them are graduates of École normale Alfred-Cortot in Paris, where they were taught by Rena Cherechevskaïa, who is in her turn is one of the best pupils of Lev Vlasenko. Moscow Youth Chamber Orchestra named after Ippolitov-Ivanova also takes part in the concert. Professor Valery Vorona is the Orchestra’s music director, conductor, and soloist.
