This concert is a follow-up to the cycle of collaborative performances of opera singers, participants of La Scala and Bolshoi youth programmes. Every year, the best of the best of the young singers chosen by discerning jury form a “youth gang” to study the fine art of opera. Whether in Moscow or in Milan (home of La Scala), they take part in concerts, first nights, spectacles etc, supervised by the best maestros. and every time the “gang” meets up they share experience, inspiration, and energy. They are the future of the world opera, however they can prove it right now.
For instance, soprano Maria Motolygina is this year’s 1st Prize winner of International Stanisław Moniuszko Vocal Competition in Warsaw. And mezzo-soprano Maria Barakova won the International Glinka competition in Kazan.

Leaders of La Scala’s Youth Academy have chosen their best pupils, too. Moscow public will undoubtedly appreciate talent and professional level of the young singers.

Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra accompanies the young singers; the conductor is world famous Alvise Casellati, who is particularly known for his work with talented youth with some great results achieved. You could witness some of the results during the forthcoming concert in “Zaryadye”.
