Dmitry Selipanov
Piano/electronica

Dmitry Selipanov’s project at “Zaryadye” is a search for new sincerity within the frameworks of contemporary post-classic idiom. His style is an intersection of orchestral traditions, contemporary electronica, minimalism, and post-rock. The composer’s live set is usually an original mix of strings, piano, electronica, and sound design. OpensoundOrchestra, one of the most vivid new Moscow orchestras, featured in the concert.

Dmitry is a soundtrack composer, too. His score can be heard at prize winning movies, animated cartoons, spectacles, videogames, and Hollywood trailers. He also collaborates with indie band Therr Maitz, as well as with singers as diverse as Zemfira or Nina Shatskaya. Dmitry recorded his first album at the legendary London Abbey Road studios. The single will be added with an alternative version created with Therr Maitz leader, singer and producer Anton Belyaev. The eponymous music video is soon to appear at YouTube.

Besides Abbey Road’s house orchestra, composer’s pieces were recorded by Prague Metropolitan Orchestra, Russian State Symphony Cinema Orchestra, Musica Viva, Matera Rolling Orchestra, “Russian Philharmonic” orchestra, and OpensoundOrchestra, among many others.
