“Scheherazade”
MGSO. Conductor – Ivan Rudin
Narrator – Darya Moroz

Daria Moroz and Ivan Rudin is a duo that arose relatively recently, but has already won the vocation and love of the audience.

Their first joint performance on the stage of the Zaryadye Hall took place in November 2019 in the performance The Master and Margarita. Together with actor Igor Mirkurbanov, Daria Moroz read excerpts from the novel of the same name by M. A. Bulgakov, accompanied by the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ivan Rudin.

On March 17, 2020, Daria and Ivan presented “The Seasons” program in the  Chamber Hall Zaryadye, combining the piano cycle of P. I. Tchaikovsky, poetry and prose of Russian poets and writers. It was the first online concert in Russian musical history. It was watched by more than 20 thousand viewers in Russia and abroad.

This time Daria Moroz and Ivan Rudin turned to the oriental story, “Tales of a Thousand and One Nights”, which inspired N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov to create a symphonic suite “Scheherazade”, one of the most popular works of Russian music in the world.
