Joseph Puritz is one of the most celebrated bayan players of the new generation. Laureate of more than 30 international contests, he tours extensively Russia as well as abroad.

In 2015, Puritz had become first classical musicians in the history of the “BBC Introducing” platform, and since than was frequent performer in the air of the British Broadcasting Corporation, as well as at various BBC-organized festivals and concerts.

The musician tours virtually all over the world, Austria to America, China to Czech Republic, as well as Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Israel, etc. He played at venues as noble as Carnegie Hall (New York), Wigmore Hall (London), George Weston Recital Hall (Toronto), and Nybrokajen Concert Hall (Stockholm).

Puritz Band is a Russian band the redefines Klezmer music. They try and deliver to their listeners’ ears all the simplicity and drama of old Jewish melodies, while their playing is that of professional virtuosi with great acting abilities.

The members of Puritz Band are laureates of numerous international contests and internationally acclaimed musicians. They all are graduates of the best music schools, either in Russia, or France and Great Britain. They played at venues as noble as Carnegie Hall (New York), Wigmore Hall (London), UNESCO (Paris), and the Grand hall of Moscow Conservatory.

Puritz Band absorbed best traditions of academic playing, and that let them find new way to show inner world of Jewish folk, as well as other music styles. The musicians are equal partners, with each of them adding their individual character to the mix.

From the November 8th, 2021, attendance of concerts is possible only with QR code that contains information about vaccination, recent disease, or negative PCR test results (since 8 December 2021, its validity is shortened to 48 hours), as well as passport with data similar to that containing in the QR code (PCR test with the QR code is sent to Gosuslugi website, only if the test was done in a laboratory connected to EMIAS).
