Vladimir Spivakov had gathered best Moscow musicians to form a chamber orchestra that became “Virtuosi Moskvy” (“The Moscow Virtuosi”). “It was a constellation of gifted people, and their aura was unique”, the maestro recalls. Nowadays, the musicians don’t know any uncharted territories of the world cultural space. Actually, it’s the only Russian orchestra to release its albums via two prominent record labels, BMG Classics and RCA Red Seal, with either classic or contemporary repertoire.
