Ensemble of NFOR Cellists
Nadezhda Gulitskaya, soprano

National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia is a union of virtuosi soloists. The highest level of their musicianship is proved by numerous performances: solo, as well as orchestral groups. Quite a few ensembles – those of violinists, cellists, percussionists, and a brass quintet – grew on a field of National Philharmonics.

Tonight, the band of cellists is: Pyotr Gladysh (winner of international contests), Nikolay Solonovich (Merited Artist of the Russian Federation), Olga Mozhar, Andrey Yatsynytch, Maria Mikhaylovskaya, Anna Pletyukhina, Vladislav Provotar, Alexandra Petrova, Mikhail Lebedev, Ayder Rysaliev, David Yezhov.

The programme combines classical masterpieces (arranged for cellist ensemble) with original pieces written especially for the musicians.

Soprano Nadezhda Gulitskaya is the special guest. She graduated from Academy of Choir Art, majoring as “Vocal Art” and “Choir Conducting”. In 2013, was the soprano’s debut in Bolshoi, as The Queen of the Night in Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”. Nadezhda Gulitskaya is a frequent performer at the Chamber stage of the Bolshoi. She collaborates with State Orchestra “Svetlanov”, NFOR, and State Chamber Orchestra “Virtuosi Moskvy”.
