An outstanding musician, violinist and conductor, is playing in “Zaryadye” Hall with his “Virtuosi Moskvy” for the first time ever. 41 year ago, back in 1979, Vladimir Spivakov, already a prominent virtuoso violinist, had gathered best Moscow musicians to form a chamber orchestra that became “Virtuosi Moskvy” (“The Moscow Virtuosi”). “It was a constellation of gifted people, and their aura was unique”, the maestro recalls.

Nowadays, the musicians don’t know any uncharted territories of the world cultural space. Actually, it’s the only Russian orchestra to release its albums via two prominent record labels, BMG Classics and RCA Red Seal, with either classic or contemporary repertoire.

The leader of the two leading music collectives of Moscow, very in-demand in the world and also music and social activist, Vladimir Spivakov is not as active as soloist as he used to be during first decades of his stunning career. The more we should appreciate that he is going to play his virtuoso violin with the ensemble that he created in his youth with all the young energy, and it is in this role that he performs in “Zaryadye” for the first time.
