Lucas Debargue became Russia’s darling after he had won IV prize at the International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. Enchanted critics and public gave him their special Prize.

“The French pianist’s touch was so interesting and non-standard that you can’t help but wonder: was that a real phenomenon, or, rather, what kind of? By the time the contest finished, general consensus was like: yes, it is the phenomenon. right, he’s got unique style and touch. Yes, a performer who works miracles broke into the realm of classical music”, “Muzykalniye sezony” wrote.

Any news about Luka Debargue’s forthcoming concerts provoke a hype. That for the case, for instance, earlier first season of the Zaryadye Hall, when he performed with trio of Eva Zavaro (violin), Adrian Buasso (viola), and Alexandre Castro-Balbi (cello), Paris conservatory graduates.

Today, Lucas Debargue founds trio with brothers David and Alexander Castro-Balbi, two Frenchmen of Latino American descend.

David and Alexander studied at music school in their native Besançon, later in Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, Musikhochschule in Weimar.

Both were quite successful at international music contests. David, for instance, is a winner of Colorados’ Young Artist, while Alexander won First Prize in Polish Lødz.

Since March 2017, David is guest artist of Staatskapelle Weimar.

Since June 2015, Alexander is a soloist of the Weimar Opera Theatre orchestra.
