Andrey Korobeynikov, piano
Andrey Korobeinikov is called “one of the most unusual pianists of the XXI century” and “a unique phenomenon in the modern musical community.” At the age of 7, he already won the III International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians. By the age of 20, Andrei Korobeinikov had more than 20 prizes in international competitions, including the 1st prize at the III International Scriabin Piano Competition in Moscow (2004). In 2007, Andrei Korobeinikov became a sensation at the XIII International Tchaikovsky Competition. His free, non-standard manner of performance made a huge impression on the audience. Andrey Korobeinikov has given concerts in more than 50 countries of the world. His partners on the stage were such masters as Yuri Temirkanov, Ivan Fisher, Vladimir Fedoseev, Vladimir Ashkenazi, Mikhail Pletnev, Vadim Repin. He played with Philharmonia (London), Orchestre de Paris (France), National Orchestra of France, Orchestra of the Japanese Broadcasting Corporation NHK, North German Radio Orchestra, Concerthaus Berlin Orchestra, London Philharmonic, Sinfonia Varsovia (Poland), SASO im.
