Nikita Borisoglebsky, violin
Nikita Borisoglebsky born in 1985 in Volgodonsk, he graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and completed the Conservatory’s postgraduate course (class of Professors Eduard Grach and Tatyana Berkul). He has become an artist in residence at Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth in Belgium (class of Professor Augustin Dumay). He has participated in international masterclasses of Keshet Eilon in Israel under the patronage of Shlomo Mintz and now studies under the direction of Professor Anna Chumachenko in Kronberg (Germany).

A winner and laurate of many international competitions, including the Yampolsky Kloster Schöntal Competition, Joachim International Competition in Hannover, David Oistrakh Violin Competition in Moscow, Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels. In 2010, he took the first prizes in Fritz Kreisler Competition in Vienna and Jean Sibelius Competition in Helsinki.

He received a number of awards from various foundations and the Government of Russia. In 2009, he received the special award “The Violinist of the Year” from the International Maya Plisetskaya and Rodion Shchedrin foundation (US). In 2011, the musician was awarded the Virtuoso prize by the Italian Academy of String Instruments and the Antonio Stradivari Society (Cremona), and the Jean Sibelius Medal from the Jean Sibelius Foundation (Finland).

The musician tours around Russia, Europe, Asia and the CIS countries; collaborates with the best orchestras, participates in the festivals in Salzburg, Rheingau, Dubrovnik, “December Nights of Sviatoslav Richter”, Betchoven Festival in Bonn, festivals “The Stars of the White Nights” and “Arts Square” in Saint-Petersburg, Oleg Kagan Festival in Kreuth, Violino il Magico in Italy, Crescendo Festival, etc. His partners in performances of chamber music have included such acclaimed maestri as Rodion Shchedrin, Natalia Gutman, Boris Berezovsky, Alexander Knyazev, Augustin Dumay, David Geringas, Lovro Pogorelich, etc. He pays special attention to performing music of contemporary authors and has given world premieres of a number of works of Rodion Shchedrin, Alexander Tchaikovsky, Kuzma Bodrov.
