Alexandra Dovgan, piano

The concert was postponed from 12 March 2021

Tickets for 12 March 2021 are valid.

“A rare case – the word “prodigy” does not fit the pianist Alexandra Dovgan, because this miracle is not childish. You hear the play of an adult, a personality. I am pleased to note the art of her wonderful teacher Mira Marchenko. But there are things that cannot be taught. Aleksandra Dovgan's talent is extremely harmonious. Execution is true and focused. I predict a great future for her”
Grigory Sokolov, pianist

Alexandra Dovgan was born in 2007 in Moscow into a family of musicians. She began to study the piano at the age of four. Currently studies at the Central Music School of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

Laureate of international youth competitions: “Astana Piano Passion”, “The International Vladimir Krainev Young Pianists Competition” and “The International Television Contest for Young Musicians “The Nutcracker”.

The name of Alexandra Dovgan became known in 2018, when the ten-year-old pianist won the Grand Prix of the II Grand Piano Competition (artistic director – Denis Matsuev). The video with her performance had a record number of views on Medici.TV and YouTube.

Alexandra Dovgan tours extensively in Russia and abroad. Gives recitals and plays with orchestras under the baton of renowned conductors: Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Spivakov, Vladimir Fedoseev. In 2018, together with Denis Matsuev, Alexandra Dovgan opened the international festival “Faces of Contemporary Pianism” in St. Petersburg.
