Symphonic fairy tale “Alice in Wonderland” with Valery Garkalin

Moscow State Symphony Orchestra for Children and Youth
Conductor – Arseniy Tkachenko

Art director – Ivan Rudin

One of the most enthralling tales in the world, “Alice's Adventures in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll unites all generations. While children consider it a funny fairy tale suitable for their young age, adults seriously believe the book to be quite an “adult”, complicated story. No wonder that “Alice in Wonderland” (no pun intended!), first published in 1865, has been making into so many spectacles, shows, movies, and animated cartoons ever since.

On this night, Valery Garkalin reads “Alice”. Garkalin is a Russian theatre and movie star with a stunning knack for transformation is amazing: he knows how to quickly change images and masks, without public noticing it. Audience would enjoy rather unexpected “soundtrack” to the show, played by the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra for Children and Youth. So, it’s going to be a real musical Wonderland, where the Cheshire Cat, the Hatter, the Queen of Hearts, the White Rabbit, and other heroes of the tale will come alive.
