“The Little Prince”.
Musical fairy tale

Narrator – Sergey Bezrukov (National Artist of Russia)

Featuring Governor’s Orchestra of Moscow region
Chief conductor – Sergey Paschchenko

Both children and adults love Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s “The Little Prince” because, as the author himself once put it down, “All grown-ups were once children — although few of them remember it”.

Children feel an emotional attachment to the moving story of a little boy who travels from planet to planet, thus studying the life, the world, the meaning of love and friendship, while adults, of course, see the deep philosophy of the text and appreciate its style full of aphorisms.

Some music of French composers performed by Governor’s Orchestra of Moscow region adds some magical overtones to the timeless story. The musical context of the tale is created by vivid pictures of “The Carnival of the Animals” and “The Danse Macabre” by Saint-Saëns, mesmerizing Debussy’s “Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun” and “Clouds” from “Nocturnes”, as well as two Ravel’s chefs-d'œuvre, inspired Waltz and moving “Pavane for a Deceased Infanta”.

Iconic drawings by Saint-Exupéry, as well as vivid video installations, are shown on a large screen. The Little Prince waits for you to join him in his eternal travel.
