Anatoly Kroll is a classic of Soviet and Russian jazz. Pianist, composer – he contributed soundtrack to the important 1983 movie “Jazzman” (“My iz dzhaza”) – one of the most prominent and successful Russian bandleaders, he is simply a figure of international stature. This year, he’s 77 years young!

Kroll’s birthday party was planned for 20 April at “Zaryadye”, as a gala featuring Russian jazz stars. Alas, pandemic… Still, the party is yet to come! And on this day, the 23 of October, we congratulate our beloved artist. This year, the day is the red-letter day of Russian jazz.

Consequently, only stars and best jazz ensembles take part at the concert. The music is jazz evergreens, as well as improvisation on the well-known themes created by Mr. Anatoly Kroll himself.
